Ok so Skyburger by Nimblebit is a great App! I know it could be really easy to some of you out there but to me a great app is not always about how hard it is! You start out with a bottom bun and then you have to tilt your phone or iPod left to right in order to catch the things on your list. They ask you to make a certain burger like the Tomainto and they show you the things you have to get to make it. Then you stack and you stack those things on until your done!

You can collect things you don’t want on there but you should stick to the menu. Those burger items are falling fast! As you get higher up the burgers have more demands and more items. I just stacked a burger that had 10 pieces of meat on it and I know it goes higher than that!  You just keep adding the right stuff until before you know it you have a leaning tower of food! It’s realistic to the point as you get higher up in your stack it really sways and is harder to get it to move. I mean it doesn’t move left to right as fast as it once did. As you lean it it sways back and forth the other direction just as I’d assume if I could stack a burger that high and keep it all together that’s what it would look like on the move!

The one thing you do not want to catch early is your top bun! If you catch that before it’s all together you have to start with a smaller/cheaper burger again! The prices of the burgers matters because you make tips off the burgers you sell. Of course the more expensive the burger the bigger the tip! I love this app! It doesn’t take so much thought that I feel totally drained after it and I always quit it either giggling or at least in a happy, better mood! It’s a fun game! It keeps track of your burgers and you can beat your last high score! The graphics are fantastic, each item looks like cartoonish versions of themselves.

I really enjoy this app, my kids can play it, not get very high up on the menu but that doesn’t stop them! I give this app, according to our guidelines, a 4! Ta dah! A must have for something to do when you have a little extra fun time!

Ok so Scoops is also made by Nimblebit and has the same idea as Skyburger but with Ice Cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream! Other than people with sensitive teeth! But I bet they’d still love to eat it if they could! HA! However, the difference with Scoop is you’re only supposed to stack Ice Cream! You can stack onions however your score starts over, and once you stack a certain number of onions or tomatoes it stops scoring and you have to continue!

I love the two things this game has in common and it’s so smart, the higher you get the harder it is to sway the stack from side to side! You go to dodge a tomato that happens to be coming down pretty quickly right where your stack is setting and woooaaahhh it lands on it anyway because the stacks so high it’s moving slow! Then the onions are the colors of some of the ice cream! Pink or white! So beware! Again, a cute concept, great graphics and realistic actions, (meaning the swaying being harder as it gets higher, the stack moving slower etc…) It’s gotta have something that’s completely fantasy like the fact you could stack 100 scoops on one cone, or it wouldn’t be fun now would it! I likey! And I actually have gotten caught up in each of these Apps and ended up with an hour gone!

I also give this one a 4! I think in all your variety of Apps you gotta have a Scoops in there somewhere! I’ve never had any slow downs or technical difficulties! Everythings smooth sailing!

Bug Village by Glu! This is one of those Apps where you visit once or more a day to feed your bugs, collect your money or in this case acorns, level up, and give them chores to do. This one is cute, I’ve actually been n this one the longest. If you don’t visit to feed your bugs they don’t die but they do get exhausted! You start out with Ants then you get Bees then when your higher up you get Beetles!

They’ve added a couple of new features like acorns and xp for missions and now you can paint your Ants, Bees, or Beetles different colors if you’d like to. Those are cool. It’s an online or offline game, if you’re always offline it won’t give you extras like the daily gift for playing everyday. It’s easy to use, it has many different things to do so it’s not boring and it’s long term if you like it! You get to upgrade their homes and get one more bug of that type when you do. With each level up you get one more bug or pile or flower etc.. to set down so they can do more chores. However the more pets you have the more expensive it can be to feed them!

It’s better if you come back every day to feed them and even cheaper if you come back at least twice so their food never gets down too low. It’s not a huge drawn out process to feed them, collect your money, and reset their chores. In some cases if they’re not really hungry I’ve done it in a matter of 5-10 minutes and I have a lot of bugs! I like how I can decorate their area with some cute stuff like nut tables or twig chairs, so it sticks to the nature side of things.

Now you can also buy other areas to group off into to make the game last even longer! When you tap your pets they stop what their doing and make a cute noise that sounds like a laugh or a diff buzzing noise than usual, the bees will fly around in circles. If they have something in their hands or bug legs I guess, they’ll get it back as soon as the dance is over. There’s actually achievements you can get for tapping them a certain number of times! Very cool! It’s a cute concept and I think everyone would like it! It’s not something you have to dedicate all your time to and if you want to spend a long time you can with setting up their homes, moving things around, maybe decorating if you have the acorns… I enjoy this App a lot! I visit it every day!

You can place things back in your inventory like houses and stuff or piles but you cannot sell them which is great for me because my kids love Apps like these but they always seem to sell something they shouldn’t and mess up my whole system! Gotta love them! I give this App a 4!

The Prize Claw is just like the ones in the stores you walk by and the kids are begging, Momma please let us play it or Please win me that toy right there! Its great when they still think of us as Super Heroes! I mean the game does look simple enough, the concept is simple but you don’t always get anything in the stores! On this one you’ll always grab something but depending on the claw you have and if the item’s too heavy or not you may not keep it! The game gives you missions you have to complete in order to get more xp, money or grabs. You can purchase more grabs with actual money, game money you’ve grabbed, by picking up and collecting a gem that gives you grabs or by completing a certain collection of items. For grabs it’s the cars.

If you grab their list of cars and have at least 1 of each you can trade it in for 13 grabs. You will accumulate grabs every minute in the game or while your out of it too. It’s funny you come back in and have 38 grabs and think ahh I can play for awhile with this! Fat chance! You won’t always be able to get the items you need to finish your mission whether it’s not in there or at the bottom of the pile, it’s too heavy or for some reason the darn Claw keeps grabbing something else! It’s a fun little game! Unless you spend your cash on the grabs it’s an App you’ll come back to a couple times a day after some more grabs accumulate! I give this one a definite 4 because of my constant need to go in and play it every day!

Coin Dozer I know you’ve seen if you’ve ever been to a Chuck E Cheese or a Peter Pipers (A pizza place with kids games). You drop the coins and a wall type of thing pushes them towards the other coins and if the piles big enough or coins are close enough to the edge they fall off and you get more coins. Simple enough? However you can also and will also knock most of them down the sides where you get no point. You get prizes or gifts that will also fall down the sides into the gutters. Try to avoid that! Again you accumulate over time. The tour is just that, a Coin Dozing World Tour. I really enjoy these two cute apps and I give them a 3!

Frog Toss, a Game Circus App similar to the Frog toss or coin toss at the County Fairs or Carnivals.  Here you try to fling the frogs into it’s flower bowls on Lily Pads with prizes in them, they spin in a circle and it’s not as easy as it looks! The prizes disappear after a bit and you can only fling the frog the direction the arrow in front of it is pointing. It’s not always pointing where you want it to! You can fling the Frog really far to the other side of the Lilly pads or you can fling it up close. Be careful it can fall right into the water too! The arrow goes from side to side slowly but the circle spins faster so just as you get excited when you see a prize or a group of bugs, remember to look where the arrows pointing before launching Froggy! I give this a 3! I love Carnival games!

Horse Frenzy by Game Circus is one of my absolute favorites of their group of Carnival/Circus/County Fair Apps! It’s similar to the one at the Fairs where you have your ball and every one has their horse up on the stand and you want your horse to get to the Finish Line first to win! You take your bouncy balls and roll them into the holes down in front of you to make the horse Run, Walk or Trot!  It’s not as easy as it looks!

Sometimes the ball will do exactly what you want and other times it will behave just like the one at the Fair and bounce right out of the hole! There are less holes for Walk and Run than Trot however Walk is closest to you and bigger and the Run is the farthest with smaller holes I believe. You can hit bullseye’s on the sides with the balls and double your moves! I really enjoy all this game!  It’s another I do when I wake up in the morning! I don’t have to dedicate a lot of time to it and the horses Accumulate Energy while I’m not playing or carrots I can feed them while I am playing! They get after awhile of racing, Apples to accumulate Energy all at once or Horse Shoes which make them faster, and you can purchase with in game money strength for a price so they can be stronger and faster I think.

You also get to choose between horses with different attributes and you can buy 2 to race with. One at a time of course. The horses get pricier as you go up the xp ladder! Your horses also move up the ladder in Silver etc… races and move onto other harder races. Still a straight line race but harder! Anyhow, this is another fun one I think everyone should have! I give it a 3! Happy Gaming!

Star Legends the Blackstar Chronicles. It’s a pretty cute app. You get to choose between a couple people to start the game, you set up an account and then you go through and complete missions. The whole thing is a little small for me. You’re walking along through certain places and when you walk up to talk to someone it zooms in so that’s good. Then you read what they’re saying.
Then you go back to reap your rewards. Not a new concept but definitely a good game. It’s got a lot of things going on on the screen, off to the top, bottom and sides so in the beginning it can be a little confusing or overwhelming. Your attacking bad guys and having to click between weapons while your other weapon charges then you have to remember to touch the battery down at the bottom to heal or your dead and start at the beginning of the level.

You log on online so you can see and talk to other players who are going through the same areas your in. It was a little confusing in the beginning because as I was going through to complete a mission if the new bad guys hadn’t spawned yet or the chests hadn’t closed yet with items for me in it, I didn’t know where to go from there. It only took me awhile to get through missions because of the new things having to spawn. It’s not like some of the famous PC games we know where you can run off to different towns and things while you’re waiting for something to spawn. I could run off to a different area for instance on the ship but I had to make sure when I came back round to take care of that part also.

I was rather confused throughout. However, if I was able to have given it a couple of days maybe I would’ve gotten use to the controls and things. I wasn’t able personally to make it very far in the time I had alotted! That all being said the graphics are cool and it is a pretty cool game. With our rating system I’d give it a 3. No technical glitches but I had a few issues with it. I did like the game and I think yall will like it too!

Pocket RPG is a game I have been looking forward to for a while now and I must say it fulfilled what i was looking for.

From the start you select one of 3 classes, your typical ranged, melee or caster. Then it is off to slaughter endless monsters and bonk guards on the head to wake them up it appears the monsters are nice enough to let them sleep! The quests are pretty much done as clear this zone of monsters, kill boss monster, advance to next zone. The equipment system is done with random drops and purchased items at the end of each round.

The fun thing about Pocket RPG is that the gear you start out with at the beginning of each round is the gear you purchase in the store, otherwise you are setup with a pretty bare set of equipment and have hopes of finding better gear during your monster slaying.

The gameplay is very smooth done with the dual onscreen sticks, one for movement the other for attack direction. This worked very well for the ranged class though I have not been able to try the melee class yet. I did have issues trying to use some of my special attacks as one of them has you tap the right stick 4 times to use and my fingers being as big as they are I ended up shooting the wrong direction, though this is a very small issue.

The graphics are very nice and clean and the sound is what you would think it would be in a game like this. Currently it is on sale for $0.99 so you can not really lose!

I am enjoying the game and plan to play it a whole lot more this weekend! I give it a 3 / 5 based on the fact that some of the special attack controls can be bothersome for people already fumbling this a dual stick control on their iPhone, iPod Touch.

Plants VS Zombies by PopCap. What can I say about this app other than LOVE IT!!

This app is one of my top favorites! Originally we played it on the XBOX 360. It’s fun and big on the big screen. This game has zombies that are trying to get into your house so they can eat your brains. YAY! You go through many levels where they start revealing new zombies and new plants to deter them from getting in your house! What an awesome idea! The graphics are Fantastic!

I can’t say enough good things about this app. You have to have a couple of minutes to yourself to get through one of the levels so it’s not one of the 2 minute games. You get to purchase more things as you earn money, as you go up levels! My kids love this game too. It can really keep you busy because when you start you don’t want to stop! The music is great, not annoying like some of them can be. The Zombies are really cool, they came up with all kinds of Zombies with different attributes to get around and above your fighting plants. You select a certain amount of plants at each time, the hard part is figuring out which Zombies are coming and how many Sunflowers or Mushrooms to plant! Sunflowers and Mushrooms gain sun energy so you can put more plants down! You can only put as many down as you have energy and when a Zombie gets to your plant or whatever you have up they munch and crunch it!

Did I already say the graphics are Superb? If not I’m saying it again! For such a tiny screen such as my iPod they are absolutely fantastic and clear. I Love Love Love this game! I have to know better than to start it at night because I could easily end up awake and playing at 6 am when the kids are getting up for school! Seriously! Hey Momma’s gotta have her relax time to right!  It is challenging and it is definitely fun! For excellent Graphics, Zombies, Creativity, One of a kind, Graphics, Music and all out fun I give this app 5/5!!! Thanks PopCap keep it up!
